A Heart of Sorrow

A heart of sorrow

Which cannot be repaired

Lost in life’s silent ache

Burns holes in my memory.

———–

Faded recollections

Warm waves come in a flood

A future burnt in ruins

Caressing a sweet tomorrow.

————

Long time holding on

Velvet ribbons cradle my soul

A silver cross hides despair

Silently healing a breaking heart.

————

Truth that grasps sadness

Surely calms a troubled brow

Fluent words softly spoken

Quietly brings help and comfort.

————

Peace poured out in a flood

Love through eternal splendor

Joy sublime in endless giving

A deluge of drowning grace.
