Edwardian Lanes

Meads Village

Take a stroll with me

Through elegant Edwardian lanes

Slowly

Steadily

Hand in hand with each other.

 ———-

Let’s laugh together

Remember golden days

Always

Forever

When we tasted life’s pleasures.

 ———-

Time can be cruel

Plays tricks on the mind

Simple

Flowing

Tears outweighed with joy.

 ———-

Nothing can compare

To holding you close to me

Embracing

Thankful

We found true love.

I enjoyed this poem of love. It allowed me to do some reminiscing I suppose. Reading it over I read “outweighed by joy” but that is just me.

I really like the sound of the phrase “elegant Edwardian lanes.” It’s really quite beautiful. Nice take on rhythm, and pretty sound. :^)

Beautiful poem! Finding true love, it really is the ultimate life treasure. You wrote beautifully of hit here, could easily have been written for me and my beloved!

  4. Beautifully gentle and compelling. Thank you.

  5. I’m not sure if ‘the system’ ate my post or it has gone off for moderation. From memory I said something about loving teh gentleness of this poem.
