A sacrifice of dreams
Held captive by mystery
In a prison of uncertain love
Redeemed with a kiss.
———-
Adrift in an ocean of expectant eyes
Rages a sigh of hope
Awaiting crumbs of praise
Times torrent of indifference.
———
Marble hearts
Cold hands
Warm words
To welcome strangers.
———
She cherished scarlet ribbons
Filling the lonely vacuum
Love born in emptiness
Grace in the shadows.
———–
Silver refined in loves furnace
Heart’s blossoming flower
Tears caress caring cheeks
Touching the dew of heaven.
———–
Silently she fulfils her dreams
In the valley of separation
Lost within a realm of care
Love poured from hopes chalice.

smiles….nice…so this is your wife…i think we often have to put dreams on hold for a time…i like the thought of her as silver refined in loves furnace as well…it works…smiles.
I enjoyed this poem very much. She sounds like a very special person…
I especially admire “love poured from hope’s chalice”. She sounds lovely!
This is a lovely tribute. Like Sherry I especially like “love poured from hope’s chalice” and the opening as well.
A lovely tribute, I liked that line “adrift in a sea of expectant eyes” well done 🙂
