I don’t feel like
Playing the game
Just giving in
Accepting my fate.
———
I feel like I want to
Shout!
Scream!
In the middle of the road
Bring everything to a halt.
———
I don’t feel like
Taking it on the chin
Keeping the rules
Letting experience dictate.
————
I had enough of the lies
Worn out half truth
Subtle deceit
Passive existence.
———-
I want to run
Jump
Leap
Embrace
Love
Fight
Dive into the river
Drown in the flood
Shout!
Scream!

ha…i feel your frustration for sure….i would much rather run free myself and have a bit of fun rather than sitting in traffic and playing the game…
Well. this is good. I get the idea you want to do it YOUR way; and I understand.
So full of the essence of life—and I too feel your frustration
I felt the energy, the power coming at me right through my monitor!!! Loved this.i
Wonderful declaration Alan. And the photo is particularly apt!!
I know! It’s a great feeling when you can give in to it. Bugger convention!
…some feelings like these are rather kept inside than done, too bad…i feel you… sometimes i do want to do all of these…but maybe not the right world to get all the understanding we deserve…smiles…
ha. I’m always so annoyed when a motorcycle slithers between cars in a situation like this … but mostly because I wish it was me being the rebel. 🙂
Oh yes, traffic makes me want to scream too.–and so many things I’d rather do than sit in my car staring at taillights! Excellent write 🙂
… this is one to read on ‘one of those days’ … an affirmation of the rebellion that we all feel at different times in our lives!
an excellent way to “break the rules” ~ well done!
