On Such A Day

lightning-sky-131232-sw

On such a day

Of no exceptions

Sleepless emotions

In eternal patterns

———-

A flash of lightening

A crack of thunder

A downpour of rain

Celestial wonder

 ———-

Black clouds creep over

The world just gets darker

Stretched out to sea

On a lost horizon

 ————

Waves of remembrance

Comfort beyond erosion

Held with your bare arms

Kept safe in communion.

———–

Into a sleepless night

An endless darkness

Mirrors still draw me towards

Sweet reflections of kindness.

Beautiful! On those days with no expectations the sky still performs, memories still come, all is wondrous still.

A very nice poem to go with the picture. Storms are definitely one of the wonders of the world. We do not get that many of them out here in So.Cal and so it is fascinating to watch them. I really do like the picture and how it captures the lightning.

Thanks for sharing them both with us with this weeks Theme Thursday, very much appreciated. I hope you have a wonderful weekend that is actually not too stormy but is more relaxed.

    God bless.

Thank you for reading my poems. Please don't feel you have to comment. I enjoyed writing them, I hope you enjoyed reading them, Be blessed.
