In earth bound vessels
Frail viewers missing the point
Solemn beats
Float towards eternity
Peirce through misconceptions
———–
Enriched in stars
Share in the resplendent burden
Exhilarated union
Release the soul from this inhibiting pen
Flashes of beauty now rise from delight
Harboured in this new dimension
———
Christ in me
The deep passion permeating
Rich red wine
Heavens golden goblet
Crimson nectar sweet to my taste.

Alan,
I liked the triune of poetic examples, pertaining to ‘Passion.’ All very fitting in their own individual ways.

nice…like the message in the last alan and i hope you have a wonderful easter….the first though jumped out at me and made me think…particularly like the piercing of misconceptions…an interesting journey in that one….it grabbed me…
Deep and to the point, an enjoyable read.
Release the soul from this inhibiting pen – love this line!
This is wonderful and PASSIONate poem, Alan. So many excellent lines . Hard to pick a favorite. It strikes me as describing what happens when a person embraces his/her faith. When what is UNUSUAL becomes USUAL. Definitely ‘crimson nectar’ and a ‘new dimension’ are part of that experience. I am wondering if the painting was painted by someone you know?
Yes, there’s such freedom in acceptance, which comes from letting go of inhibitions, right?
Three in one! Some nice word images here I think that keep me reading!
A lovely share specially the last verse, passion as rich red wine ~

Enriching, deep and a poignant release Alan
A Happy Easter to you
Wonderful write, Alan. I especially love the two closing lines.

Yes, I relate to this …. often wonder if people UNDERSTAND… if they believe…
I particularly like the pen and wine references. I can relate. A lovely read.
I like the fina stanza in particular.
