How I love the long winding road
That snaked between dry stone walls across the moors,
Golden shadows restless in the breeze
And dance in the forgotten refuge of loneliness.
………..
Now I remember the dark, chilling place
With rolled up sleeves, a fierce resolve
That the journey on all I have staked
Should find my soul finally at peace.
Yes, one’s journey SHOULD bring one to a place of peace indeed, and hopefully does.
