Golden yellow waves
Flowing, vibrating, shining,
Citrine sapphires, revealing
The secret of the breeze.
A song of freedom
A lashing, liberty, energy,
Fields, made of yellow jade suns
Changing, turning, resonating,
Shards of light.
Touching my eyes, filling my soul,
Through golden oceans,
A sparkling yellow sea,
A saffron painted corner,
A lemon endless cover,
Energy of swaying citrine,
Renewing, cleansing, shifting,
A soothing deep within,
In a forgotten corner,
Under a eternal healing sun,
Flowered field
Golden yellow waves.

I enjoyed tour exploration of the dandelion’s color. There is something beautiful about a field of dandelions. I like the idea of the ‘song of freedom’.
nice….i like the golden yellow waves…there is a sense of movement in your verse as well alan…its a cool verse….
There is so much beauty in those flowered fields of golden yellow dandelions waving in the wind.
My favorite “A sparkling yellow sea”. I love to come across a huge field of yellow like that.
So refreshing, Alan… much needed and appreciated. I especially like–
Through golden oceans,
A sparkling yellow sea,
A saffron painted corner,
A lemon endless cover,
Energy of swaying citrine

much love…
After reading this, how could anyone not find beauty in the dandelion?
A field of dandelions would be so lovely–they just seem to pop up now and then around here. This is a fun prompt. Thank you.
what a lovely poem- nothing bettr than seeing Golden Yellow Waves!
“Citrine sapphires, revealing the secret of the breeze.” Just lovely. There is so much in a breeze, I think – especially for poets.
I now see dandelion in a different angle………….
The movement of a field of dandelions or grass or daisies is surely something to see … it reminds me of flocks of birds the shift their flight on the breezes or water ripples on a pond surface … the movement is always so hypnotic … your exploration of the dandelions colors and movement is just beautiful!
“Citrine sapphires” — lovely imagery! The humble dandelion would be proud!
Lovely shades of yellow throughout the poem with some wonderful metaphors. I enjoyed this, Alan.
