Portrait

Self Portrait

Inside this portrait

A colour of freedom

A soothing deep within,

In a golden brush stroke

An eternal healing hope

Outside the cemetery gates

Citrine sapphires,

Revealing perishable life

Dissolving fears

Drowned in crystal love

Within these doors

A saffron aroma

Touching my eyes,

Filling my soul,

Fragile golden dreams.

Inside this season

Every day is changing

Deeping autumn

Immersed in mercy

Glorious crimson grace
