So very true.
Words definitely last beyond so much destruction!
Power of words: never to underestimate!!
They do indeed and we are the richer for the words of the ones before us.
Nice words 🙂
Yes, words endure forever ~ I agree Alan ~
omnipotent words…
i’d like to believe they do 🙂
In some form, I suppose words endure forever, but what about all the burned books? What about the tombstones that are no longer legible? What about the words that no one bothers to read?
This is so on point. Well spoken,
To power of words!
It’s nice to think that writers leave behind so many words by which to be remembered.
This is so true, which is why totalitarian regimes are so afraid of words..
what great contrast; in the wake of all that deconstruction, stability, nice; have a good Sunday
much love…
Can’t argue with that Alan… You nail this truth with ease…
So true. Thus we must be careful what we speak and write. There’s tremendous power in words.
I love the power that words hold!
They seem to, don’t they. I really like the conciseness of this piece, as well as the images evoked.
words endure forever. very true.
Absolutely…words live forever…encompassing all the emotions and feelings 🙂 wonderful !
Perfect words…very powerful!
Brief, yet powerful. It’s an interesting thought to ponder.
Combined with the picture I thought immediately of Li Po. Great job invoking a famous poet.
Not only do they endure, but they have power and can do magic…

Powerful and true. Good poem.
I might guess words / thoughts are the last to go… very thought provoking on what has lasting power, and what fortresses do not. I like the economy of words in this strong poem.
Oh yea! They always do…
Nice one
