In the Mirror

The child was last seen

In the hopes of the extraordinary

Wondering at the lost reflection.

Blue freezing cry

Red from the light

The moment can never be made up,

Shed your tears now,

It will save time later,

For things can change much

Viewed through the prism of hope

As stares touch mercy

And bear the scars of grace.

Yes, the things may change or it may feel like they have changed, once looked through the prism of hope. Well thought.

I like the idea that things can change much, all the more so as your poem suggests they might change for the better if seen through the prism of hope.

I like the idea of a prism of hope as well. Using such a prism we can see things in a different light and perhaps find a new path!

The opening lines made me sad…but I was comforted with the prism of hope ~

  9. Alan,

Leaning upon hope can help to ease the pain of injury or the sadness which presents itself in front of us. The ability to see another side, or outcome can raise hope within.

  12. Raven Spirit says:

Hope really can be everything! If there is hope, there is life, there is a future, there is another chance for fulfillment and happiness. All that you have said here is profound … but hope, that is the best.
