Another day flies
Another written letter
Another scribbled note
Another hidden text
Another word of reassurance
Another whispered fear
Another hollow scream
Another dream shattered
Another poured out heart
Another hem to touch
Another promise never to leave
Another forgotten tear
Another forsaken tree
Another palm engraved
Another hand reaches out
Another new beginning

you def took us on the up and down journey of life…
I like the other hem to touch…and the reference behind it…smiles.
This makes all the difference, another hand reaching out ~ May we always make full use of that time for another one ~
Oh yes those hands of time do fly with all those things going on. Glad there is a hand reaching out as well–leaves the poem on a positive note.
Ah yes i too luv the ending, with that tone of continuing, like the gasp of a new day, thank you for dropping in at my blog, have a good Wednesday
Much love…
So much for two important hands….
Very creative take on the prompt, Alan. Your use of anaphora repetition throughout, imbues the piece with the monotone quality of a “list” which, when juxtaposed against the closing lines, is dramatic and uplifting.
The repetition in your poem works, Alan; and the hand reaching out definitely can inspire a new beginning.
I really like this, Alan!
Lovely poem,Alan! 🙂
Great use of repetition, Alan. I like how you create meaning and convey strength out of the ordinary.
Another hand reaches out
Another new beginning
Great ending alan! I love poems that ends with a finality, better yet on a positive note in fact!

Alan,
I enjoyed this journey through some of the trials and experiences life can thow at us. In all of the happenings, hands hoped to soothe and do the trick of helping..
A realistic experience in well chosen words..

No matter how low we feel sometimes, if we have a hand that reaches out to us we feel a lot better. Nice poem 🙂
Life covered well in here. Nicely worded.
I like the thought of a new beginning..it gives one a sense of hope.
Always another if we watch for the opening of the door.
Very well presented and of course another brilliant work by you 🙂
another beginning is what gives hope to live another day…
It is good to leave behind us those things that we can no longer change or influence, and to try to move on and begin afresh, learning from past mistakes. Beautifully written, Alan.
